My child hood reminds me of John
9. The Pharisees said to the blind man ‘you were completely born in sins…’ It
just takes changing a word to make it mine and so can read ‘…born in poverty’.
I remember what it took to get school materials. So, every step I went through
to join Compassion funded project counts as a divine plan. The Lord taught me
love in the years I spent in my previous project. I opened my heart to Jesus there;
I started to serve there & I was also baptized there. Those days were
golden, especially because of the most beloved project director we had.
I heard about LDP from the project
director. I didn’t know that I was applying to this really amazing program that
was going to change my life completely. LDP introduced me to a totally different
paradigm of life i.e. a life full of responsibility, integrity and love. It is
a program that opens the eyes so that one can see his self worth and the large
harvest of the kingdom that demands many workers. Praise the lord.
Romans 9 says, ‘the purpose of God according to
election might stand, not of works but of Him who calls’. And the Lord has
called me to His purpose. I do not have any reason to look back. The love and
wisdom he taught me through my families and beloved friends is not for nothing.
His living word burns in my heart and I believe all my future lies on teaching
this word. I am taken out of poverty because of those people I have never
known. They stretched their heart and hands for the good work. The lord knows
how grateful I am. I believe it will be my turn to sponsor others as soon as
the Lord permits. Compassion Ethiopia
can count one fruit ready for service in the heavenly kingdom. Amen
